In today's intallment of the series, I'll share some sources and details to tie everything together.
In yesterday's post, in addition to breaking down my paper airplane mobile project, I also mentioned the source for the maps that I used for the planes. Given the plethora of printables available from The Graphics Fairy, I was also able to find some really cool vintage maps to use as artwork around the room.
The above maps, coupled with some cheap Ikea frames, and our budget room was well underway.
We also added a few pictures (A picture of the Mister, the pups, and I, two newborn picture of the Mini-Mister, a maternity picture, and a few ultrasound prints), a 'travel advice' frame from the guests of my baby shower - with a picture from the shower itself, and a gorgeous name print that we received as a gift after the Mini-Mister was born.
We used two paint colours for the entire room. The two short walls were done in solid grey and the two long walls were done with white and grey thick stripes.
The colours used were;
- Para Paints, P2112-01 mennonite grey tint 2
- Para Paints, P2118-00 crysler hall white
(both images from Para Paints)
I've already told you all about the RAST hack, but what about the rest of the furniture?
It's all Ikea!! Well, basically. Everything purchased was from Ikea + one vintage family rocking chair and one custom built-in.
The single bed and dresser are from the Hemnes series in antique stain (which is no longer available). I also used the same brass pulls from Lee Valley as the RAST on the HEMNES dresser as well.
The crib is the GULLIVER series, from Ikea as well.
Those are the fine details that stand out the most in the space and I think that should help pull everything together to cap off the series. If there are any other questions about something you noticed in the reveal that you'd like to know about, please feel free to drop me a line!
Finally, I just wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of love for this room! We still adore it, and are completely floored and equally as flattered by the positive response, so THANK YOU so much!!
