I won!

2.10.11 : 41/365

No, not the wicked cool bag yet (though if I don't win that one, I have my eye on one from Jo Totes), the draw for that one is on the 22nd but I'm not expecting anything. What I won this time however, is a super cool prize pack from one of my favorite blogs (you can find it on my blog roll down there in the corner), Aspiring Kennedy. Now, I know that I have a pile of books from Christmas to read and I will because I loooove books, but this one isn't even out in North America yet! I'll review it as soon as I've read it but we'll have to give it some time because it has to travel across the pond first.

In other news, because I got your picture to you a day late yesterday I managed to maintain my tardiness by not posting the new picture last night. So here you have it, picture no.41 of 365, last night's dinner-

We had Maple Dill Chicken from, you guessed it, Chatelaine. It was good but I won't make it again, here's why;

I'm probably the only person in the world that has this problem (because I can cook), but I cannot cook Chicken in a pan without it being a real episode. There, I said it.

By the time I was finished making supper, I was so hot and grumpy from the strenuous activity that is, cooking chicken breasts in a pan, that I wasn't even hungry anymore! It was a sad state of affairs.

I will say this; Ryan enjoyed the meal though so I would venture to say that it is good and if you can cook chicken and not get irate like moi... this one may be worth trying. :)

Update: I had some leftovers for lunch today, I'll admit they were pretty good so I may have judged harshly. I've been wrong once before.

Here`s some other pictures -

Hm... What irritates you about cooking chicken so much? I will admit, hubby does most of our cooking, but even being a Veggi., he cooks it SOOO well! I can put you in touch with him if you'd like tips ;)

It's not that it irritates me so much as I'm just impossible! A roast chicken I can do, most other things I can do... but trying to cook chicken breasts in a pan - I'm worthless! They take so long to cook, and I can never get the heat right, so the outside is always way more cooked than it should be by the time the centre is ready. It's nonsensical really, I should be able to... but I just can't. :( On a more positive note, Ryan can... so that's all that matters!! haha!
